Exceptional results |
Direct sale may seem to have advantages in terms of speed but it would be unusual to find the most generous buyer by other means than auction sale. Grosvenor will keep vendors informed at all stages of the selling process and we are able to provide proof descriptions before sale if required.

Whose side are we on? |
Grosvenor acts as your agent to sell your collection on your behalf. As we operate on a commission basis it is also in our own interest that the figure achieved is as high as possible. Of course, it is also our responsibility to accurately present material being sold and great care is taken that the buyer can bid with full confidence in our descriptions.

Advertising and publicity |
Auctions are advertised regularly in both the philatelic press and study circle journals. Our extensive international client records also allow us to target important specialist collectors when appropriate

Charges |
It is not our normal practice to impose hidden charges such as minimum, lotting or unsold fees. Vendors are charged a simple percentage of the total sale result, varying from client to client depending on the nature of the collection. This percentage will normally be lower than offered elsewhere. A copy of our standard Terms and Conditions of Sale is available on request and is provided with your receipt when material is received. VAT at the current rate is added to charges made.
